Want to land clients? You’ve got 7-11 seconds, tops.
That’s how long the average person spends on a homepage before they say thank u, next and moves on.
AKA, you need to inform, impress… and do it fast.
DON’T STRESS. I’ve got your back.
Here are 6 things you need to make clear on your homepage :
Probably unsurprisingly, this should be specific. The most important question to answer right away is how you can make your client’s life EASIER.
Can you make the social media content calendar of their dreams? Give them a visually stunning website so they can stop stressing over every detail?
The short of it: how can you save them time and stress? Let ’em know!
In today’s world, brands are more than just a logo and a service page. People are interested in working with a business/person they can trust and know, and that comes from your sharing PERSONALITY.
Introduce yourself! Let them catch a glimpse at the human behind the brand. Then, they can click to your about page to find out even more.
You aren’t everyone’s cup of tea: and that’s a good thing! If you want to attract your dream clients, make sure they have no question that what you do is PERFECT for their specific needs.
This step also saves you and your website visitors a ton of time. It’s just as important to make it clear who your services are for as it is to clearly state who you aren’t for. Less time taken on those who you can’t help = more time spent on building relationships and booking clients who are just right.
Worst case scenario: your ideal client loves you and your biz, wants to inquire, and doesn’t know how to reach out.
Leave out the guesswork. Give multiple chances for them to contact you.
Spell it out: what do you want them to do next? Lead them there!
Nest steps can include: Signing up for a newsletter, following you on social media, filling out an inquiry form, or booking a call.
Brag a little. Why are you qualified? What do you do BEST?
Help build their trust in you by showing you absolutely know what you’re doing and are good at it. This is a great time to mention degrees, certifications, or statistics on how you’ve helped your previous clients.
What’s your niche? Why should they choose YOU?
The 5 previous points should all create a neat compilation of what makes you unique. Why can you offer something no one else can?
THERE YOU HAVE IT!
If you make these things clear on your homepage, you’re set up for success.
